Cram a podio a Imola con Hoogenboom
Il sesto weekend dell’Italian F4 Championship, andato in scena sul circuito di Imola, si è rivelato decisamente il migliore della stagione per il team Cram Motorsport. Leonard Hoogenboom ha visto premiata la sua crescita prestazionale arrivando addirittura a conquistare il podio in gara 3, con un terzo posto ottenuto grazie ad una prova attenta e priva di errori. Il pilota olandese, vicino alla top 10 già in gara 1, aveva fatto il suo rientro in zona punti cogliendo la nona posizione in gara 2, che gli ha poi consentito di scattare dalla prima fila nella manche conclusiva del weekend.
È stato un fine settimana dai riscontri positivi anche per Manuel Maldonado, il quale ha accumulato ulteriori chilometri di esperienza riuscendo a tagliare il traguardo in tutte le tre gare in programma. Il giovane venezuelano è giunto 14esimo in gara 1, 17esimo in gara 2 e 19esimo in gara 3.
Sul famoso tracciato “Enzo e Dino Ferrari”, inoltre, la Cram ha rafforzato la propria presenza sulla griglia dell’Italian F4 Championship schierando una terza macchina per il qatariota Ahamad Al Muhanadi, alla prima esperienza agonistica in monoposto dopo i trascorsi nel karting.
La prossima tappa in calendario è prevista il 29 e 30 ottobre a Monza, dove si chiuderà il campionato 2016.
Cram gets podium at Imola with Hoogenboom
Cram Motorsport celebrated the best weekend of the season at Imola, which hosted the sixth round of the 2016 Italian F4 Championship. Leonard Hoogenboom has been awarded for the progress he showed with first podium of the year in race 3. The young Dutchman took the third place at the end of a solid performance with no errors and good laptimes. Hoogenboom was already close to the top 10 in race 1, and he came back in the points in race 2: his ninth place gave him so the chance to start from the first row in the last race of the meeting.
Manuel Maldonado had a positive weekend as well, adding further kilometres to his belt and crossing the finish line in all the three races. The Venezuelan has been 14th in race 1, 17th in race 2 and 19th in race 3.
On the famous “Enzo e Dino Ferrari” track, Cram team increased also his committment on the grid with a third car drove by Ahamad Al Muhanadi. For the Qatari driver this has been the first racing experience in single-seater after his karting apprenticeship.
Next stop on Italian F4 calendar is scheduled at Monza on 29th and 30th of October, for the last weekend of the season.
