Cram e Ptak nella top 10 nel Renault NEC a Spa
Cram Motorsport è tornata in azione in occasione del quarto round della Formula Renault 2.0 NEC sul mitico tracciato di Spa-Francorchamps. Dopo aver saltato il round dell’Eurocup di Spielberg, la compagine diretta dai fratelli Rosei ha portato in pista una Tatuus per Antoni Ptak. Pilota polacco protagonista nella Euro Formula Open, ha compiuto il suo debutto con Cram Motorsport nelle prove libere, anticipate di un giorno rispetto al solito, data la presenza della 24 Ore a monopolizzare i programmi della domenica.
La pioggia, come spesso accade, l’ha fatta da protagonista portando più di un incognita nel box lombardo, con il polacco che ha completato le prove libere in diciottesima e ventiduesima posizione. La notte porta consiglio, ed i risultati si sono visti sin dalla prima qualifica, dove Ptak sul bagnato ha strappato il tredicesimo tempo, chiudendo la gara con un’ottima nona piazza. Sabato, con condizioni atmosferiche più lineari, in qualifica Antoni si è aggiudicato il ventiduesimo tempo, rimontando sino al diciottesimo posto sotto la bandiera a scacchi. Per Ptak e Cram sono previste altre due gare, sempre nel NEC ad Assen, ed in Eurocup a Le Castellet.
Cram e Ptak finish in top-10 at Renault NEC Spa round
Cram Motorsport was back in action in the fourth round of the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC series at the famed Spa-Francorchamps venue. After missing the Eurocup round at Spielberg, the Italian squad, led by the Rosei brothers, lined-up a Tatuus racecar for Antoni Ptak. The Polish racer, currently running in the Euroformula Open, made his team debut in practice which was held one day earlier than usual: the same-weekend 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps forced all the support series to anticipate their plans.
The weather was once again a factor at Spa, as often happens and that led to an additional variable to be taken care of for the team, with Ptak ending up 18th and 22nd in the two sessions.
After a good night of rest, Ptak scored consistent results in qualifying. In the first session, he scored a 13th place before ending up 9th in race 1. On Saturday, he set the 22nd fastest laptime before crossing the line in 18th place. Ptak and Cram will be joining forces in two more rounds, entering the NEC at Assen and the Eurocup at Le Castellet.
