Esordio complicato per Cram nella Formula 4 spagnola
Cram Motorsport non è riuscita a concretizzare il buon potenziale mostrato nel primo appuntamento della Formula 4 spagnola. La squadra tricolore ha infatti fatto il proprio esordio nella serie iberica questo fine settimana, espandendo i propri programmi al di fuori della Formula 4 Italia e UAE.
La squadra di Erba ha dimostrato di avere una buona velocità, specialmente nei due turni di qualifica, in cui Ricardo Escotto si è assicurato l’ottava e nona fila dello schieramento di partenza. Il pilota messicano si è ben comportato in gara, navigando con costanza a ridosso della top-10, che vale anche la zona punti assoluta, ma alcuni sfortunati contatti non gli hanno consentito di concludere nelle posizioni meritate.
Partenza in salita per Anshul Gandhi, costretto ad una sosta non preventivata in gara 1. Il pilota indiano ha però mostrato una buona crescita nel corso del fine settimana, tagliando il traguardo in 20esima posizione nella seconda corsa in programma.
Gabriele Rosei, team manager: “Purtroppo nel corso di questo fine settimana non siamo riusciti ad ottenere i risultati che meritavamo. Tuttavia abbiamo dimostrato di poter lottare per la top-10, che rimane il nostro obiettivo per il resto della stagione”.
Cram has complicated Spanish Formula 4 debut
Cram Motorsport was unable to put its good potential to fruition in the first round of the 2022 Spanish Formula 4 Championship. The Italian team made its debut in Iberian series this weekend, expanding its programmes outside Formula 4 in Italy and UAE.
The Erba-based squad showed great speed, especially in the two qualifying session, where Ricardo Escotto secured spots on the eighth and ninth row on the grid for Race 1 and 2 respectively. The Mexican performed well in race conditions, staying close to the top-10 and the overall points zone. However, some unfortunate contacts did not allow him to finish in the positions he deserved.
It was a tough start for Anshul Gandhi, who was forced to make an unscheduled stop in race 1. The Indian showed good growth over the weekend, crossing the finish line P20 position in the second race.
Gabriele Rosei, team manager: “Unfortunately we were not able to get the results we deserved this weekend. However, we showed that we can fight for the top-10, which remains our goal for the rest of the season”.
