Cram sale sul podio di Misano con Segù-Vebster
Doppio impegno per Cram Motorsport nel fine settimana del 7 maggio. La squadra italiana è stata impegnata su due fronti, a Misano con l’equipaggio composto da Luca Segù e Daniel Vebster e a Spa-Francorchamps con il 15enne romano Flavio Olivieri.
Segù e Vebster hanno inaugurato la stagione 2023 del Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo Sprint, che li vede competere in classe GT Cup Pro-Am con la Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo2 del team DL Racing. Vebster si è subito messo in luce nel primo turno di qualifiche, assicurandosi al prima fila sulla griglia di gara 1 con il secondo tempo. Grazie ad una corsa regolare l’equipaggio italo-svedese ha conquistato il podio, chiudendo al terzo posto.
Segù è risultato terzo nel Q2, ma un testacoda nelle fasi iniziali ha compromesso la corsa del duo della Huracan, infine costretto ad alzare bandiera bianca. Segù e Vesbter occupano ora la sesta posizione nella classifica generale in virtù del terzo posto di classe. Il prossimo appuntamento del Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo Sprint è in programma a Monza nel fine settimana del 25 giugno.
A Spa-Francorchamps invece Flavio Olivieri è stato protagonista di un fine settimana molto promettente nella Formula 4 spagnola. Il pilota romano ha chiuso con il 16esimo e il 12esimo tempo le due sessioni di qualifiche, disputate sull’asfalto bagnato. Dopo un errore in gara 1, che lo ha costretto al ritiro, nelle ultime due manche si è be difeso, tagliando il traguardo in decima e 11esima posizione. Purtroppo una penalità per un’infrazione nella procedura di partenza gli ha negato la prima top-10 stagionale in gara 2, facendolo scivolare al 22esimo posto. Olivieri tornerà in azione a fine mese ad Alcaniz.

Cram takes the podium at Misano with Segù-Vebster
Double commitment for Cram Motorsport on the weekend of May 7th. The Italian team was involved on two different venues, at Misano with the crew made up of Luca Segù and Daniel Vebster and at Spa-Francorchamps with the 15-year-old Flavio Olivieri.
Segù and Vebster have inaugurated the 2023 season of the Italian Gran Turismo Sprint Championship, which sees them compete in the GT Cup Pro-Am class with the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo2 of the DL Racing team. Vebster immediately stood out in the first qualifying session, securing the front row on the race 1 grid with the second fastest time. Thanks to a strong pace, the Italian-Swedish crew conquered the podium, finishing in third place.
Segù was third in Q2, but a spin in the initial stages compromised the race of the Huracan duo, who were finally forced to retire from the race. Segù and Vesbter now occupy the sixth position in the general standings thanks to the third place in Race 1. The next round of the Italian Gran Turismo Sprint Championship is scheduled in Monza on the weekend of June 25th.
At Spa-Francorchamps Flavio Olivieri was the protagonist of a very promising weekend in the Spanish Formula 4. The Italian driver closed the two qualifying sessions, held on wet track, with the 16th and 12th fastest times. After an error in race 1, which forced him to retire, he defended himself in the last two races, crossing the finish line in tenth and 11th position. Unfortunately a penalty for an infraction in the starting procedure denied him the first top-10 of the season in race 2, dropping him to 22nd place.
